Jhoihary Mola of the Dominican Republic has been crowned Miss World 2026 at a glittering grand finale held in Nha Trang, Vietnam.
Mola claimed the prestigious title at the 73rd Miss World grand final on Saturday, September 5, emerging victorious after competing against some of the world’s leading beauty queens.
She secured a place among the final six alongside contestants from Malaysia, South Africa, Spain, Vietnam and Eritrea before ultimately taking the crown. Outgoing Miss World Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand crowned Mola at the ceremony.
Spain’s Elizabeth Renees Alabern was named the first runner-up, while Malaysia’s Tanushia Shetty finished as the second runner-up.
Mola’s victory, however, was not based solely on her appearance, fashion or stage presence. Her journey to the crown was closely linked to the Miss World philosophy of “Beauty With a Purpose” and her social work supporting English-language education for children from marginalized communities.
Through her advocacy and community-focused initiatives, Mola has sought to use the global platform provided by the competition to draw attention to educational opportunities for disadvantaged children.
Her Miss World 2026 victory therefore marks not only a major achievement in the international pageant arena but also recognition of her commitment to creating a positive social impact.
