Shah Rukh Khan has retained his position as India’s richest actor despite a significant decline in his estimated wealth over the past year, according to the Hurun India Rich List 2026.
The Bollywood superstar’s estimated wealth now stands at Rs 10,000 crore, down from Rs 12,490 crore attributed to Khan and his family in last year’s list. The latest figure represents a decline of Rs 2,490 crore, or nearly 20%.
Despite the drop, Khan continues to top the ranking of India’s wealthiest actors.
His wealth extends well beyond his earnings from acting. A major part of his business interests is Red Chillies Entertainment, which he runs with his wife, Gauri Khan. The company is involved in film production as well as visual effects.
Khan also has significant interests in the sports business through Knight Riders Sports, which has stakes in cricket franchises including the Kolkata Knight Riders.
These interests in entertainment and sports, alongside investments and other assets, form important components of his overall wealth.
However, the wealth figures published by Hurun should not be interpreted as cash holdings. Such estimates take into account the approximate value of privately held companies, investments, properties and other assets, meaning valuations can vary between different editions of wealth rankings.
Earlier this year, the Hurun Global Rich List also estimated Khan’s wealth at Rs 10,800 crore.
Amitabh Bachchan ranked second among actors in the 2026 list, with estimated wealth of Rs 4,000 crore.
Salman Khan ranked third with an estimated Rs 3,000 crore, while Hrithik Roshan ranked fourth with estimated wealth of Rs 2,500 crore.
