Despite facing intense trolling and criticism over its violent sequences, romantic scenes and portrayal of female characters, Kannada superstar Yash’s latest gangster drama Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has continued its strong run at the box office, grossing more than Rs 254 crore worldwide in its first four days.
According to Sacnilk data, the film’s net collection in India stood at Rs 190.45 crore after four days, while its domestic gross earnings reached Rs 227.50 crore. On Saturday, the fourth day of its release, Toxic earned approximately Rs 24.50 crore net in India from 17,612 shows, down 9.9 percent from the Rs 27.20 crore it collected on Friday.
The film also earned around Rs 4 crore in overseas markets on Saturday, taking its total international collection to Rs 27.25 crore. Its worldwide gross collection has now reached Rs 254.75 crore.

Overall, the film has collected Rs 190.45 crore net and Rs 227.50 crore gross in India.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic stars Yash alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. The film was released theatrically on August 26, 2026, in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and English.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) awarded the film an ‘A’ certificate, restricting it to adult audiences, without requiring any cuts.
Since its release, the film has drawn criticism on social media over its intimate on-screen sequences and allegations that women have been portrayed negatively. The romantic song Tabaahi, featuring Yash and Kiara Advani, has particularly sparked mixed reactions over the duo’s chemistry and intimate scenes.
Actress Rukmini Vasanth has also faced trolling over a suggestive moment in an intimate sequence. Reactions among viewers and fans remain divided, with some defending the film while others have criticised its treatment of female characters.
