North Korean leader has reaffirmed his government’s strong commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with , describing recent diplomatic engagements with Chinese President as a historic milestone in advancing ties between the two neighboring allies.

The remarks came in a congratulatory message sent by Kim to Xi on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the , according to North Korea’s state-run news agency KCNA on Wednesday.

Kim said that the friendship between the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and China, built on a long historical foundation and socialist principles, remains an unwavering policy of his party and government.

“The continuous development of DPRK-China friendly relations is the steadfast position of our party and government,” Kim said in the message.

He also described the recent summit in as a “historic occasion” that further deepened the comradeship and mutual trust between the two leaders.

According to South Korea’s , Xi visited Pyongyang on June 8 and 9, marking his first trip to North Korea in nearly seven years.

During the visit, both leaders adopted what North Korean state media called a “far-reaching blueprint” aimed at reinforcing what it described as the strongest and most strategic relationship between the two countries.

Chinese state media reported that Xi emphasized the need to further strengthen diplomatic, law enforcement, and military cooperation with North Korea during the trip.
