Russia Warns of “Devastating” Response if Any NATO State Attacks Its Territory

Moscow says any aggression by a NATO member against Russian regions would trigger a decisive and destructive retaliation amid escalating tensions over Ukraine’s largest drone strike on the capital.

Russia has warned that any attack by a NATO member on its territory would be met with a “decisive and devastating” response, as tensions between Moscow and the Western military alliance continue to escalate.

Speaking at a press briefing, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Moscow would not hesitate to retaliate if any NATO country launched aggression against Russian regions.

“I want to stress once again that if any NATO state commits aggression against Russian territory, our response to those responsible for such reckless actions will be final and destructive,” Zakharova said.

She added that no Western military leadership or force would be able to stop Russia’s reaction, warning that such rhetoric and actions could push Europe toward deeper instability.

The warning came after launched what Russian authorities described as the largest drone attack on the capital overnight from Wednesday into Thursday. The strikes reportedly damaged a key oil refinery, triggered fires in several areas, and scattered drone debris across the region.

As a result, operations at Moscow’s major airports were temporarily suspended, highlighting the growing security concerns inside Russia.
