A passenger aircraft has crashed on the outskirts of Juba, killing all 14 people on board, including the pilot, authorities in South Sudan confirmed on Monday.

The crash occurred about 20 kilometers (12 miles) from the capital, where video footage from the crash site showed the wreckage engulfed in flames.
According to the country’s Civil Aviation Authority, initial findings

suggest that poor weather conditions and reduced visibility may have contributed to the accident. The aircraft, a Cessna 208 Caravan operated by CityLink Aviation, lost contact while traveling from Yei to Juba International Airport.

Among the victims were two Kenyan nationals, while the remaining passengers were citizens of South Sudan.
Authorities said a response team has been dispatched to the crash site to gather information and assist with emergency operations. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
