War Nearing End with Iran, Trump Claims in National Address

Donald Trump says strategic goals are nearly achieved but warns of intensified strikes if objectives remain unmet

U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that the ongoing war involving United States and Israel against Iran is approaching its final stage, asserting that Washington is close to achieving its key strategic objectives.

In a national address delivered on Wednesday, Trump described Iran as “the world’s number one state sponsor of terrorism” and stated that U.S. forces have secured rapid and decisive victories over the past four weeks. He claimed that Iran’s military capabilities have been severely weakened, alleging that its navy has effectively collapsed and its air force is nearing total destruction.

Trump emphasized that the United States is on the verge of eliminating what he called Iran’s longstanding threat to global security. “We are very close to ending Iran’s evil threat to America and the world,” he said, adding that mission objectives would be completed soon.

However, he warned that military operations would continue until those goals are fully achieved. Trump signaled the possibility of intensified attacks over the next two to three weeks, stating that U.S. forces are prepared to deliver “very severe blows.” He also cautioned that Iran’s power infrastructure could face large-scale strikes if no agreement is reached.
While reiterating that regime change was never an official objective, Trump noted that such an outcome has effectively occurred following the reported death of Iran’s leadership.

The U.S. president also called on other nations to help secure the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, urging oil-importing countries to take responsibility for maintaining its stability.
Trump expressed gratitude to regional allies including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain for their support, saying their cooperation has been instrumental.
Addressing concerns at home, Trump acknowledged rising fuel prices in the United States, describing the increase as temporary and attributing it to Iranian attacks on oil tankers.
Reaffirming his stance, Trump concluded, “We are going to finish the job. We are very close.”
