Hasina Says She Will Return to Bangladesh in December Despite Risks
Former Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina said on Monday that she still plans to return home in December, even if the government led by Tarique Rahman has her arrested, tortured or killed.
She spoke by video link at an event hosted by the Center for US-Bangladesh Relations in Washington. Hasina said going back was her duty and that she was not afraid. “It’s my responsibility to go,” she said.
