US Vice President has said that the United States remains committed to the ceasefire agreement reached with Iran, but warned that any disputes over its implementation should be addressed through direct communication rather than violence.

According to Reuters, Vance stated that if Iran has any objections regarding the enforcement of the memorandum of understanding, it can simply “pick up the phone” and raise its concerns with Washington.

In a post on social media platform X, Vance wrote, “Iran signed a ceasefire agreement, and we have respected it. If there is any disagreement over how this memorandum is being enforced, they can call. But violence will be answered with violence.”

Vance, who was once known as a strong critic of US military intervention in Iran, has now emerged as a key figure in President ’s administration in handling the ongoing conflict.

The remarks come amid growing tensions between Washington and Tehran, following recent exchanges of military strikes and accusations of violating the peace deal. Iran has already condemned recent US actions, calling them a “clear violation” of the agreement.
