US President Donald Trump has arrived in Beijing for a crucial meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping amid growing global geopolitical and economic tensions.
The two leaders are scheduled to hold talks on Thursday and Friday in what analysts describe as one of the most closely watched diplomatic engagements between the world’s two largest economies.
This marks Trump’s first official visit to China since 2017. Discussions are expected to focus on bilateral trade disputes, the Taiwan issue, cooperation and regulation in artificial intelligence, as well as the ongoing US-Israel conflict involving Iran.
The visit comes at a time of heightened international concern over regional security, global supply chains, and the future of US-China relations.
According to reports, both sides are seeking to stabilize ties while protecting their strategic interests in Asia and the Middle East.
