Dhaka, Bangladesh — Activists of the Bangladesh Students League (BSL) organized a protest rally in Savar under the banner of Dhaka North District Chhatra League, expressing strong opposition to nationwide load shedding and the sharp increase in fuel prices.

The procession was led by Md. Masum Dewan, President of Savar Municipality Chhatra League under Dhaka North District. Under his leadership, party members marched through different areas of Savar, chanting slogans against frequent power outages and what they described as excessive fuel price hikes.

Protesters stated that the electricity situation has significantly worsened not only in Dhaka but across Bangladesh, disrupting daily life, businesses, and essential services. They alleged that the authorities have failed to ensure a stable power supply while increasing the financial burden on citizens through higher fuel prices.

The demonstrators demanded immediate action to resolve the electricity crisis and reduce fuel prices to an affordable level. They also warned of stronger protests in the coming days if their demands are not addressed.

The rally reflects growing public concern over the ongoing energy crisis and its impact on the overall cost of living in Bangladesh.
