Dhaka, March 29, 2026 (Sunday): Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman has departed for the United States on an official visit. He left Dhaka yesterday (March 28, 2026).
During the visit, he is scheduled to receive a recognition resolution initiated by the Georgia State Capitol in acknowledgment of the outstanding contributions of Bangladeshi peacekeepers in United Nations peacekeeping missions. He will also attend a special lecture session at the United States Senate Chamber.
In addition, the Army Chief is expected to hold bilateral meetings with relevant representatives of the United States during his visit.
