Trump Outlines Four U.S. Objectives in Ongoing Iran Operation

Donald Trump says major assault yet to begin, vows to destroy Iran’s missile and naval capabilities in interview with CNN

U.S. President Donald Trump has taken an aggressive stance on the ongoing military operation against Iran, declaring that American forces are “crushing” the country but that the most significant phase of the assault has yet to begin.

In a nine-minute telephone interview with CNN on Monday, Trump said the campaign was progressing strongly and described it as a powerful operation carried out by what he called “the greatest military in the world.”

“We are destroying them,” Trump said. “Everything is moving very well. This is an extremely strong operation.”

Four Key Objectives
During the interview, Trump clearly outlined four primary objectives of the U.S. campaign in Iran:

Destroying Iran’s missile capabilities
Eliminating the country’s naval power
Preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons
Halting Iran’s funding and coordination of proxy forces beyond its borders
Trump claimed that U.S. strikes have already destroyed 10 Iranian vessels and that operations to dismantle missile production facilities and stockpiles are ongoing.
He described the current campaign as a “last and best chance” to eliminate what he called an intolerable threat posed by Iran’s leadership.

Warning of Larger Strike
Asked whether the United States was taking additional steps beyond military action to support the Iranian people, Trump responded affirmatively but did not provide details. He urged civilians to remain indoors for their safety amid escalating tensions.

“We haven’t even started the big hit yet,” Trump said. “The real major strike is still coming — and it will happen soon.”
His remarks are expected to further heighten tensions in the region as the conflict between Washington and Tehran continues to intensify.
