Trump Nominates Ambassadors to Bangladesh, India

Washington, D.C., September 2, 2025 — President Donald Trump has forwarded a slate of nominations to the U.S. Senate for confirmation, covering key diplomatic and judicial roles.

Among the most notable picks:

Brent Christensen, a senior career diplomat, has been nominated as U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh.

Sergio Gor, a Florida-based political operative and publisher, has been tapped as U.S. Ambassador to India.

Tammy Bruce, a conservative commentator from California, has been nominated as Deputy U.S. Representative to the United Nations with the rank of Ambassador.

Other diplomatic nominations include:

Stephanie Hallett (Bahrain),

James Holtsnider (Jordan),

William Long (Iceland).

For domestic roles, Trump nominated Stephen Miran of New York to the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and put forward a series of judicial nominees, including Robert P. Chamberlin, Edmund G. LaCour Jr., Jennifer Lee Mascott, and James D. Maxwell II for federal bench positions. Several nominees were also named to serve as Associate Judges of the D.C. Superior Court.
