Zelensky Calls on Allies to Fulfill Promises of Arms Supply

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged his allies to fulfill their promises of supplying arms to Ukraine, particularly the defense equipment pledged to counter Russian airstrikes. British news agency Reuters reported this.

In a statement on Sunday, Zelensky revealed that Russian forces launched hundreds of attacks on Ukraine over the past week. These assaults involved nearly 700 bombs and over 600 attack drones.

Ukraine’s air defense forces stated that on Saturday night, Russia used 94 drones to carry out attacks, of which 60 were destroyed. Additionally, 34 drones were neutralized through electronic warfare.

Zelensky emphasized that the Russian war continues every week because Russian forces are still able to maintain air superiority and terrorize Ukraine from the skies.

He further mentioned that the decisions made during the NATO summit in Washington and the Ramstein meeting regarding Ukraine’s air defense systems have not yet been fully implemented.

This week, Zelensky shared that discussions have taken place with the United States and other partners about providing licenses for the production of air defense systems and missiles in Ukraine.

He called on allies to ensure Ukraine’s security by swiftly implementing their promises.
