Actor Zachary Levi has denied claims that his career has been hurt after he supported Donald Trump for president. On the Club Random podcast with Bill Maher, Levi was asked if he had been “canceled” because of his political views.
Levi responded, “Have I been canceled? I hope not. If it happens, it happens.” He explained that none of his current projects had been affected. “I haven’t lost any jobs. No one has called to say they don’t want to work with me anymore.”
In September, Levi endorsed Trump and made controversial comments on social media. He said that Pfizer, the company behind the COVID-19 vaccine, was dangerous, and suggested that a performer who died might still be alive if they hadn’t taken the vaccine.
In October, Levi shared a video saying that many people in Hollywood are afraid to publicly support Trump or be conservative. He encouraged those who feel scared to speak out but also said it was okay if they chose to stay quiet.
Levi is currently working on a new movie, Hotel Tehran, with Liam Neeson. He also completed two other films last year.
