Wicked: Part 2 Reveals New Title Ahead of 2025 Release

December 2024 – Fans of the beloved Broadway musical Wicked have reason to celebrate as the upcoming Wicked: Part 2 has officially revealed its new title and is slated for a 2025 release.

Directed by Jon M. Chu, the highly anticipated film, which is the second part of the two-part movie adaptation of Gregory Maguire’s iconic novel, will now be titled Wicked: The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz. This reveal comes after months of speculation about the direction the film would take in continuing the saga of Elphaba and Glinda, following the success of Wicked: Part 1, scheduled for release next year.
