Why Didn’t the Helicopter Change Direction, Trump is Furious

President Trump reacted to the biggest plane crash in Washington in nearly 16 years on Truth Social. “The way the accident happened, it looks like it could have been avoided,” he said.

The crash happened in mid-air near Washington National Airport around 9 p.m. local time on Wednesday. The crash was caused by a collision between a passenger plane and a U.S. Army helicopter. So far 19 people have been reported dead. The death toll is likely to rise further.

Trump is furious at the incident. He blamed military helicopters. According to him, the helicopter should have moved before seeing the aircraft.

He wrote on Truth Social, “The aircraft was on its way to the airport. But the helicopter was heading directly towards the aircraft for a long time.

The night sky was clear enough. The lights were on the plane. The helicopter could have gone up, descended or turned in the opposite direction. Why wasn’t it done? Why were the helicopters not given proper instructions from the control tower?”

“Instead of asking if the pilot of the helicopter saw the aircraft, why didn’t the control tower tell the helicopter what to do.

Trump called the crash a “terrible catastrophe” and said: “How terrible this night was! A very bad situation has passed. It looks like it could have been prevented. It wasn’t good. ”
