Kyle Walker’s desire to play for a club outside of England is being fulfilled. However, the English defender of Manchester City is not joining any club for now. He is going to play in the Italian club AC Milan.
AC Milan have agreed to sign Walker, 34, for the rest of the season. At the end of the loan agreement, Serie A and the club can buy this footballer.
Walker joined City from Tottenham Hotspur in 2017. He has played 319 matches in the club’s jersey so far. He won 17 titles, including six Premier Leagues, City’s only Champions Trophy.
But Walker cannot be a regular in the team this season. He played 18 matches in all competitions. Out of which he got a chance in the starting eleven in the Premier League only in 9 matches.
He last played for City on January 4, against West Ham United. After that match, Walker told coach Pep Guardiola about his desire to play for a club outside England.
Although he was initially rumored to be moving to the Saudi Pro League, Walker eventually chose Italy as his new destination.
