Vinicius can avoid ban, hopes Real coach

The Brazilian forward will accompany the team to play the Copa del Rey match against Deportiva Minera.

Real Madrid have appealed against Vinicius Junior’s straight red card. Team coach Carlo Ancelotti is hopeful that the Brazilian forward will be able to avoid the punishment of the ban.

Real Madrid will play Deportiva Minera in the fourth tier of the Copa del Rey on Monday. Ancelotti said Vinicius will go to Cartagena with the team that day.

Vinicius saw a red card for hitting Valencia goalkeeper Stool Dmitrievski in the face in the La Liga match on Friday. Ancelotti is hopeful the 24-year-old forward will avoid a minimum two-match ban.
“It wasn’t a red card(foul), it was a yellow card. And that’s why we’re hopeful he won’t face any sanctions. ”

Vinicius is regularly subjected to racist behavior in Spain for the black color of the skin. Real’s Italian coach thinks that the Brazilian forward has to endure intense mental pressure.

“It’s very difficult to be in his position. It is not easy to deal with all the humiliation he goes through. It’s not easy, he’s trying to improve. He was upset and apologized. We need to look ahead. ”
