Bangladesh seems to have turned into a land of death, with extreme chaos prevailing across the country. Law enforcement agencies, seemingly backed by the state, are maintaining a deafening silence. Mob justice is rampant, allegedly orchestrated by Pakistan’s intelligence agency, Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), and the Interim Government’s Chief Advisor, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, along with his advisory council members.
The so-called Anti-Discrimination Student Movement is leading these violent actions, which include setting fire to homes, looting, and bulldozing the residences of former ministers, MPs, army chiefs, journalists, Awami League leaders, and police officers. Dead bodies are reportedly being discovered daily in various parts of the country.
