The United Arab Emirates (UAE), a Gulf country in the Middle East, has decided to grant Golden Visas to social media content creators and influencers. Those who receive this visa will be able to stay in the country for 10 years without the need for a sponsor or patron.
Government officials of the UAE have stated that their goal is to make the country a prime destination for individuals involved in social media and digital media sectors. As part of this initiative, they have set a target to grant Golden Visas to 10,000 influencers and content creators from various countries this year.
The UAE government has also set specific criteria for interested content creators or influencers. Only those whose content demonstrates creativity, has the potential to influence society, has received awards or recognition, or benefits UAE’s online community will be eligible for the Golden Visa.
Officials further stated that to apply for the Golden Visa, interested content creators or influencers must first visit a website called Creators HQ and fill out an application form. They must also provide their email addresses.
Once the application is submitted, the Creators HQ team will review it, and those who qualify for the visa will be notified via email. After receiving confirmation from Creators HQ, the remaining steps of the process will begin.
