The U.S. Department of State has issued a travel advisory for its citizens considering travel to Bangladesh, urging them to reconsider their plans due to potential risks of terrorist attacks and armed conflict.
The Level 3 travel advisory, issued by the Bureau of Consular Affairs on the night of March 7, warns that terrorists could target public places such as transportation hubs, markets, shopping malls, military installations, airports, universities, tourist locations, schools, hospitals, places of worship, and government facilities with little or no warning.
Previously, similar advisories were issued for several countries, including Pakistan.
