Trump’s ‘Full Support’ for Israeli Attacks in Gaza: White House

Israel has been carrying out relentless attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of nearly 700 Palestinians in recent days. In response, global outrage against Israel is growing. However, U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed full support for Israel’s actions in Gaza.

According to the White House, Trump stands firmly with Israel and its military operations in Gaza. Additionally, Washington has blamed Hamas for the ongoing violence. White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt confirmed this stance in a statement reported by TRT World on Friday.

Levitt stated that President Trump fully supports Israel’s resumption of air and ground strikes in Gaza. She also held Hamas responsible for the mass killings of Palestinians since Tuesday.

When asked whether Trump was working toward restoring a ceasefire, Levitt responded, “He fully supports Israel, the IDF (Israel Defense Forces), and the steps they have taken in recent days.”

Although a ceasefire had been in place in Gaza since January 19, Israel unilaterally violated it, killing nearly 700 Palestinians since Tuesday. Among them, 200 were children, and 1,042 others were injured. On Thursday alone, Israeli airstrikes killed at least 110 Palestinians, including many women and children. Despite this, Levitt insisted that Hamas was to blame for the bloodshed in Gaza.

Levitt further stated, “President Trump has made it clear to Hamas that if they do not release all hostages, they will face severe consequences. Unfortunately, Hamas continues to manipulate the situation in the media.”

Gaza health officials described the situation as dire, with ongoing rescue efforts in the rubble of destroyed buildings.
