U.S. President Donald Trump is set to make a significant infrastructure announcement on Tuesday, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. “It’s going to be a massive announcement and it’s going to prove that the world knows that America is back,” Leavitt said in an interview with “Fox & Friends.”
The announcement is scheduled for 4 p.m. (2100 GMT), though Leavitt did not provide additional details. This comes after Trump’s 2016 campaign promise for a $1 trillion infrastructure package during his first term from 2017-2021, which never materialized.
In contrast, his Democratic successor, Joe Biden, signed a $1 trillion infrastructure bill into law in 2021. This bipartisan achievement, according to the Biden administration, has launched 40,000 projects across the country.
