Trump to Buy Tesla Car in Support of Musk

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that he will buy a new Tesla car to show his support for his advisor and Tesla CEO, Elon Musk.

According to AFP, Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, right after midnight, stating, “Republicans, conservatives, and all great Americans, Elon Musk is making an extraordinary effort to help our nation, and he is doing an outstanding job in this role!”

Trump further noted, “Some radical leftists are illegally and conspiratorially trying to boycott Tesla, one of the world’s best car manufacturers and Musk’s ‘brainchild.’ They often engage in such actions to harm Elon and the values he stands for.”

Protests Outside Tesla Dealership in California
In his post, Trump declared, “Tomorrow morning, I will buy a new Tesla to show my confidence and support for Elon Musk. Undoubtedly, he is a great American.”

Expressing frustration, Trump added, “Through his remarkable skills, he is helping to make America great again. Why should he be punished for this?”

After returning to the White House in January, Trump appointed Musk to lead the newly formed Department of Operational Government Efficiency (DOGE). The department’s goal is to reduce federal government expenses and the number of employees.

However, DOGE has faced significant resistance, dealing with protests, court rulings, and pressure from lawmakers.

Amid these challenges, Tesla investors worry that Musk’s political involvement may negatively impact the company. Since Musk’s engagement in politics, many Tesla owners have expressed regret over their purchase on social media.

On Monday, Tesla’s stock price dropped by over 15%, and the overall U.S. financial market remains unstable due to Trump’s tariff policies.
