Trump Suspends All Military Aid to Ukraine

Washington, March 4, 2025: The United States has suspended all military aid to Ukraine, a White House official confirmed. The decision follows a heated exchange between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House a few days ago, according to reports from Reuters and BBC.

The White House official, speaking to CBS News, stated, “We are pausing our assistance and reviewing it to ensure it contributes to resolving the conflict.”

For the past three years, the U.S. has been the primary supplier of weapons to Ukraine since Russia launched its full-scale invasion. However, Trump recently criticized Zelensky, saying the end of the war with Russia was “very, very far away.”

An anonymous official added, “The President (Trump) has made it clear that he is focused on peace. Our partners must also be committed to that goal.”

There has been no immediate comment from President Zelensky’s office regarding the suspension of U.S. support.

Trump, who began his second term as President of the United States in January, has shifted U.S. policy toward a more conciliatory approach with Moscow, abandoning previous stances on Ukraine and Russia.

During a contentious meeting with Zelensky last Friday, Trump criticized the Ukrainian President for showing insufficient gratitude for Washington’s support in the war with Russia.
