CNN’s Kaitlan Collins reported that former President Donald Trump is observing election results alongside Robert F. Kennedy Jr., including those from Wisconsin, where RFK Jr. remains on the ballot despite his attempts to withdraw his name from the competitive state.
Trump’s staff is intently monitoring Wisconsin this evening; however, they do not anticipate any immediate indications, aware of the prolonged counting process and the very narrow margin.
The Supreme Court rejected last week Kennedy’s request to remove his name from ballots in Wisconsin and Michigan, pivotal states where votes for his now stalled campaign may diminish support for Trump.
Kennedy, who exited the presidential campaign in August and endorsed Trump, petitioned the Supreme Court in an emergency appeal to compel the states to remove his name from the ballots. However, state election officials contended that early and absentee voting in the states was already much in progress. In other words, they stated that it was too late.
