Trump Clears Biden’s Halted Bomb Shipment

Former U.S. President Joe Biden had previously halted the shipment of hundreds of bombs weighing one ton each, facing widespread criticism. However, upon taking office, Trump reversed Biden’s order.

In May of last year, Biden had blocked the shipment of 1,800 bombs, each weighing one ton. On Saturday, January 25, Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social, “Much of it is on its way to Israel. Israel had ordered various types of bombs and paid for them. But Biden did not deliver them to Israel. Now they are heading to Israel,” thus announcing the lifting of Biden’s suspension.

Earlier on Saturday, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin informed the Senate Appropriations Committee that they had halted a shipment of ammunition to Israel due to concerns over Rafah. Biden had also cited similar reasons for blocking the shipment.
