Trump Campaign Revokes Election Night Credentials for Journalists After Critical Coverage

Journalists from several media outlets have been barred from former President Donald Trump’s election night event in West Palm Beach, Florida, following critical reports on his campaign. Reporters from Politico, Axios, Puck, Voice of America, and Mother Jones were among those denied access, with some outlets initially granted credentials only to have them revoked.

Politico’s team, previously approved, learned Tuesday morning their credentials had been rescinded. A source indicated the reversal followed a Politico magazine report on a campaign field director’s firing over alleged ties to White nationalism. Politico declined to comment.

Puck correspondent Tara Palmeri, who was set to cover the event for Amazon’s election night special, had her credential pulled shortly after publishing a piece on “anxiety” within Trump’s campaign. “I know I told you that I would be covering the Trump election night party… but turns out I have pissed off Trump’s campaign manager,” Palmeri said on her podcast, Somebody’s Gotta Win.
