Tom Hardy Reveals Near-Miss for Venom and Spider-Man Crossover

Tom Hardy confirmed in a new interview that a Venom and Spider-Man crossover nearly happened but ultimately didn’t materialize due to studio politics. Hardy’s Eddie Brock briefly appeared in the MCU via the post-credits scenes of Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Spider-Man: No Way Home, which sparked hope for a deeper crossover with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.

Hardy said, “We got as close as I could possibly imagine getting, apart from doing a film together, which I would have loved to have done.” He also mentioned his desire to do it “for the kids,” noting how important it is to younger fans to see their favorite characters interact.

Although Venom 3 (Venom: The Last Dance) is being billed as the final film in the trilogy, Hardy hasn’t ruled out returning to the role in some capacity in the future, emphasizing his strong connection to the characters of Eddie and Venom.
