Earlier on Thursday, BNP at a press conference demanded immediate cancellation of the appointments of 803 sub-inspectors and 67 ASPs appointed before the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government

BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Saturday alleged that the recruitment of 803 sub-inspectors (SIs) and 61 assistant superintendents of police (ASPs) is being rigged. Urging the interim government to take action in this regard, he said, “Out of these 803 sub-inspectors, 200 are from Gopalganj. All of them were appointed during Sheikh Hasina’s tenure. ’
The interim government needs to see how 200 people from one district of Gopalganj can enter like this.

Earlier on Sunday, October 20, the parade at the Rajshahi Police Academy was suspended. As a result, the joining of 62 ASPs selected in the police cadre through the 40th BCS became uncertain.

From August 5 to August 8, after the so-called mass uprising, at list 500 police stations were burnt! More than 3,000 policemen were killed. Analysts believe that the morale of the police is still delicate. Torture on police is not over in Bangladesh.
