Suspect emerges due to unchecked clearance to Pak cargo vessels in Bangladesh port by the Yunus administration

Dhaka, Bangladesh – According to National Board of Revenue (NBR) sources, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Syed Ahmed Maruf, met with Finance Advisor Salehuddin Ahmed on September 1.


Sources confirmed that the Pakistani cargo vessels will enter Bangladesh without manual inspection. However, that notification, after reaching the Chittagong port, the country’s products were subjected to 100% manual inspection.

The Customs Automation Wing of the Bangladesh government issued a notification on September 29 regarding product checking of Pak cargo vessels.
The cargo vessel reached Chittagong seaport on November 12 and left after discharging containers.

Chittagong Customs Officers Walid Hossain and Mohammad Russell were transferred because they wanted to inspect containers from Pakistan.
