Star Trek fans, the wait for a new movie is finally over! While updates on Star Trek 4 are still awaited, Star Trek: Section 31 is now available to stream, bringing fans a fresh adventure in the Star Trek universe.
This latest addition to the Star Trek franchise is a spin-off from Star Trek: Discovery, starring Michelle Yeoh as Emperor Philippa Georgiou. Yeoh reprises her role after Georgiou’s departure from Discovery in season three, where she chose to be sent to an entirely different place in time.
In Section 31, Georgiou adopts a new alias and becomes the owner of a nightclub located outside Federation space. However, her life takes a turn when Section 31 recruits her to protect the Federation. This mission forces Georgiou to confront the dark secrets of her past.
Star Trek: Section 31 is available exclusively on the Paramount+ streaming service, which is now accessible to all subscribers. It was added to the platform today, making it available for immediate viewing.
For those who aren’t subscribers, you can sign up for Paramount+ starting at £4.99 per month in the UK and $7.99 per month in the US. Plus, a seven-day free trial is available, allowing you to watch Section 31 for free if you cancel before the trial period ends.
After finishing Section 31, Paramount+ subscribers will also have access to all seasons of Star Trek: Discovery, along with Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Star Trek: Lower Decks, and Star Trek: Picard.
The movie stars Omari Hardwick, Kacey Rohl, Sam Richardson, Sven Ruygrok, Robert Kazinsky, Humberly Gonzalez, and James Hiroyuki Liao, with Miku Martineau portraying a younger Philippa Georgiou.
Written by Craig Sweeny and directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi, both of whom have worked on previous Star Trek: Discovery episodes, Section 31 is sure to be an exciting addition for fans eager for more from the Star Trek universe.
