Squid Game Star’s New Film Creates a Storm at the Box Office

The globally popular series Squid Game made waves, and South Korean actor Kang Ha-neul gained international recognition for his role in the second season. Recently, the actor’s crime thriller film “Yadang: The Snitch” was released, with him playing the central character.

Since its release, the film has created a storm at the box office, earning a significant amount in its first week. In its second week, the film maintained its top position at the box office.

The movie earned $3.4 million last week, capturing 49.5% of the total market share.

Released on April 16, the film has sold a total of 1.6 million tickets and attracted an additional 521,459 viewers. As a result, its total earnings have reached $10.7 million, according to the tracking service Kobis by the Korean Film Council.

Directed by Hwang Byung-Guk, the movie revolves around a professional informant who secretly provides information about the drug world to prosecutors and police. During a drug bust, he faces a dangerous conspiracy and must fight for survival. The film features a compelling storyline, thrilling suspense, and plenty of action.

Alongside Kang Ha-neul, the movie also stars Yoo Hae-jin from “Exhuma” and Park Hae-joon from “The World of the Married”.
