Rodriguez’s viocano chapter ends in five months

The Colombian star will now be able to choose a new address as a free agent after canceling his contract with the La Liga team.

James Rodriguez can not settle in any club. The Colombian star’s Rayo Viecano chapter has ended in five months.

Several Spanish media outlets reported on Monday that the agreement between the two parties had been canceled by mutual agreement.

“Final: James Rodriguez will now be available as a free agent, his contract at Rayo Viecano has been terminated,” Italian journalist Fabricio Romano, considered a reliable source on the transfer, wrote on social media X. ”

Rodriguez joined the Spanish club in July after a great performance in the 2024 Copa America. The contract is for one year. There is also an opportunity to extend the term for one more year.

This is not the first time Rodriguez’s contract has been terminated in his professional football career. Earlier, the attacking midfielder’s contract with Sao Paulo was canceled by mutual agreement.

The 33-year-old has previously played for clubs like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Monaco, Everton.
