For the 2025 Hajj season, Saudi Arabia has imposed a ban on bringing children as companions for Hajj pilgrims. This restriction was announced in a statement issued by the country’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
The ministry’s statement mentioned, “The aim of this decision is to ensure the safety of children from all risks associated with the extreme crowding that occurs every year. This measure has been taken to safeguard children’s well-being and to prevent them from facing any harm during the Hajj journey.”
The Saudi ministry also emphasized that priority for Hajj participation this year will be given to those who have never performed Hajj before.
Registration for this year’s Hajj can be done through the Nusuk app and Saudi Arabia’s official online portal. The registration process for Saudi citizens and residents has already been officially launched through these two platforms.
Pilgrims must submit their information verification, companion addition, and Mahram change requests online or via the Nusuk app.
Meanwhile, before selling Hajj packages, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is focusing on its preparations. The process has already started through the Nusuk platform, where pilgrims must finalize their preferred package, confirm their e-wallet, and complete other necessary steps.
