Ryan Reynolds has shared his thoughts about whether Deadpool will appear in the next Avengers movie.
Reynolds recently played Deadpool again in the movie Deadpool & Wolverine, which made over $1 billion at the global box office after its release in July.
In a recent interview with Variety, Reynolds was asked if Deadpool would appear in Avengers: Doomsday, which is set to release on May 1, 2026.
However, he didn’t confirm or deny the possibility. He said, laughing, “We’ll see what happens there.”
Earlier this year, Reynolds talked about his future as Deadpool. He explained that the movie Deadpool & Wolverine was not made to set up another movie. He said, “It wasn’t meant to be a commercial for another movie. It was just meant to be a fun movie.”
Reynolds also admitted that he doesn’t know if he will ever wear the Deadpool suit again. He said he hopes to, but right now, he’s taking a break and doesn’t know what will come next.
He also mentioned he is writing a new movie for himself, Hugh Jackman, and director Shawn Levy. However, this movie won’t be part of the Marvel universe.
In Avengers: Doomsday, Robert Downey Jr. will return to play the villain Doctor Doom. Marvel Studios’ leader, Kevin Feige, shared this news at Comic-Con 2024. Feige also said that characters from The Fantastic Four, Captain America: Brave New World, and Thunderbolts will be in the movie.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released in cinemas on May 1, 2026.
