Ryan Reynolds Boycotts Golden Globes in Protest Over Wife’s Humiliation

The Golden Globe Awards, one of Hollywood’s most prestigious accolades, is set to take place on the night of January 5, 2025, according to Bangladesh time. The event will bring together a host of stars, and the world of cinema will be graced with a colorful celebration. However, this year, Ryan Reynolds, the star of Deadpool, has decided not to attend the Golden Globe Awards ceremony despite receiving a nomination. This decision has been reported by various Hollywood-based media outlets, including Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.

According to sources, both Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively had decided long ago to skip the event. However, it is now believed that their decision to boycott the Golden Globes this year stems from the ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni.

Recently, Blake Lively accused Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment and filed a lawsuit claiming mental distress. Lively alleged that Baldoni made inappropriate comments during a meeting and discussed his “pornography addiction.” She also accused him of showing nude pictures and videos of women to others to embarrass them. Additionally, Lively claimed that Baldoni hired a manager to launch a campaign to spread misleading information about her.

Baldoni has denied the allegations and stated that he plans to file a counter-suit against Lively. It is believed that this legal conflict is the primary reason why Reynolds and Lively have chosen to boycott the Golden Globe ceremony.

In another development, it has been reported that Justin Baldoni has filed a lawsuit against The New York Times, alleging that Ryan Reynolds humiliated him by questioning him about Blake Lively’s weight. Baldoni claimed he had asked Lively’s trainer about her weight for a scene in an upcoming film, as he was concerned about potentially injuring his back when lifting her. However, Reynolds didn’t believe Baldoni’s excuse and suspected that Baldoni was asking about her weight to humiliate Lively.

Many people, especially on social media, have supported Ryan Reynolds’ stance. One woman commented, “Reynolds did the right thing by standing up to Baldoni. If my partner didn’t protect me when someone questioned my weight, I wouldn’t want to be with him. Reynolds defended his wife.”

Following these events, Ryan Reynolds has gained popularity among women, who now view him as a responsible husband and partner, believing he did the right thing in protecting his wife.
