Real Madrid seek revenge against Barcelona

Real Madrid are looking forward to avenging the defeat in October’s Clasico in the Super Cup final.

It has been two and a half months since Real Madrid’s big defeat against Barcelona in the first Clasico of the season. Once again, when Spain’s arch-rivals face the two teams, the topic of the match is coming back again and again. Fede Valverde said they could not sleep properly at night after the embarrassing defeat. In the final of the Spanish Super Cup, they want to take revenge at any cost.

Real will face 14-time champions Barcelona in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Sunday. The match will start at 1:00 pm Bangladesh time at King Abdullah Sports City.
Real Madrid crashed 4-0 against Barcelona in a La Liga match at home last October. All the goals came in the second half.
The situation has changed a lot in the meantime. Barcelona, who lost rhythm after a great start to the season, lost four of their last 11 matches in all competitions, drawing two. Real have won all of their last five matches. They have also risen to the top of the La Liga table.
Uruguay star Valverde told everyone in the team’s dressing room before the Super Cup Clasico final.
“We have a strong desire for revenge after the 4-0 loss. It was hard to sleep that day because we didn’t think about losing like that. We had chances to score in the first half, they played better in the second half and we didn’t do well. That loss gave us the strength to move forward and become today’s team. ”

This is Real’s second final in less than a month. Carlo Ancelotti’s team won the FIFA Intercontinental Cup last month by defeating Mexican team Pachuca 3-0.

The 26-year-old Valverde said they want to build confidence for the rest of the season by retaining the Super Cup title.
“Tomorrow is another very important final for us. This is the first title of the year. “After a tough few months of the season, we are doing very well now and tomorrow we have a good chance to gain confidence.” ”

“The trophy is very important because it gives us confidence for the rest of the season. Now comes the most difficult part of the season. Every time we won this title, it motivated us. ”

In January last year, in the final of the Spanish Super Cup, Vinicius Junior’s hat-trick won the title by defeating Barcelona 4-1. Later, they took home the La Liga and Champions League titles.
