Real Madrid is The First Billionaire club in Football – Earning 104 Million Euros A Year

What is Real Madrid’s record on the football field? One of the best clubs in football history made history in football-marketing this time. The Spanish club has earned 1 billion or 100 million euros in a year as the first club.

Financial consulting firm Deloitte reported the news yesterday in its Money League survey. Deloitte said the club’s income increased as Real renovated their stadium Santiago Bernabeu.

Real won La Liga and the Champions League in the 2023-24 season. Madrid’s club is at the top of the Deloitte Money League with earnings of 104 million 55 million euros (about 13 thousand 314 crores) this season. English Premier League club Manchester City earns 838 million euros. The other three clubs in the top five are PSG (806 million euros), Manchester United (771 million euros) and Bayern Munich (765 million euros). There has been no change in the position of the top clubs in the Money League.

However, one difference has increased so much that it is a record – the gap between the top two clubs in revenue is 208 million euros. This is the biggest difference in revenue between the top two clubs in the history of the Deloitte Money League.

The English Premier League reigns among the top 10 clubs. Six clubs in the world’s most popular and competitive football league are in the top ten. Seventh to tenth place is the Premier League clubs. Arsenal (€716.5 million), Liverpool (€714.7 million), Tottenham (€615m) and Chelsea (€545.5 million).

Of the remaining four clubs in the top ten, two are Spanish La Liga, one each in Ligue A and Bundesliga. Just as United are in fourth place, Barca has also dropped to six. Barcelona has made the Olympic Stadium their home ground by moving away from their stadium Camp Nou for the time being. The club earns relatively less from match day. Nine of the 20 clubs are in the Premier League.

Real Madrid’s match day revenue doubled (248 million euros) in the 2023-24 season due to the renovation of the Bernabéu. However, neighbors have also complained that there is noise pollution in this 80,000-seat stadium. For this reason, Real has stopped organizing concerts at Bernabeu for the time being.

In the Money League, 20 clubs saw an 11% increase in income from matchdays. However, for the second year in a row, clubs are still earning the most from the commercial sector. About 44 percent of the clubs’ total income came from this sector. The clubs’ total income from broadcast rights is 4.3 billion euros.

Real Madrid’s 1 billion euro surpass is due to 248 million from match days, 316 million from broadcast rights and 482 million from the commercial sector. Real is far ahead of the rest in terms of revenue from match days. The second best in this list is PSG’s earnings of 17 million euros.
