‘Pushpa 2’ Sets New Box Office Record in Just Four Weeks

The South Indian blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring superstar Allu Arjun, continues to break box office records in India. The film has achieved another remarkable milestone, grossing ₹39.50 crore in its fourth week. This brings its total collection to over ₹1,294 crore at the Indian box office alone, as reported by Pinkvilla.

Initially, it was expected that Pushpa 2 would surpass the earnings of Baahubali 2 by the end of its fourth week. However, after the fourth weekend, it seems that the film will need a little more time to break that record. The ongoing holiday season has not yet produced the anticipated surge in earnings.

Trade analysts, however, believe that with the upcoming New Year’s holidays, the film’s earnings may match or exceed the Sunday numbers, pushing Pushpa 2 closer to ₹1,330 crore. It is now on track to match Baahubali 2’s lifetime collection.

By the fifth week, Pushpa 2 is expected to top the list of highest-grossing Indian films at the box office.

The film has performed exceptionally well across various regions in India. The highest earnings have been recorded in the Andhra Pradesh/Telangana region, where it has grossed ₹325.75 crore. The Hindi belt also contributed significantly, with a collection of ₹790.50 crore, further cementing the film’s national success.

As in the first installment, Rashmika Mandanna reprises her role as Srivalli, while Fahadh Faasil takes on the villainous role in this sequel.
