Protest Rally and Human Chain in Geneva Demanding Withdrawal of One-Sided UN Human Rights Report on Bangladesh

A human chain and protest rally were held in front of the United Nations Human Rights Commission headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, on Friday, March 7th, demanding the withdrawal of a one-sided report on Bangladesh. The event was organized by the Switzerland Awami League.

The rally was presided over by Jamadar Nazrul Islam, President of the Switzerland Awami League, and conducted by its General Secretary, Shyamal Khan. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, President of the Bangladesh Awami League, joined the event virtually as the chief guest.

M. Nazrul Islam, President of the All European Awami League, attended as a special guest.

Among others who spoke at the event were Switzerland Awami League leaders Palash Barua, Arun Barua, Khalilur Rahman, Md. Mohsin, Abdur Rob, Moshiur Rahman Suman, Ashraful Islam Azad, Masum Khan Dulal, and many others.

Additionally, Harun Or Rashid Arif, Secretary of Science and Technology of the Austria Awami League, along with leaders of Awami League and affiliated organizations from various European countries, also delivered speeches at the rally.
