Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Calls for Regional Stability, Condemns Indian Actions After Pahalgam Incident
Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace and stability in the region while emphasizing the country’s ability to defend itself if necessary. Speaking at a high-profile meeting with a delegation of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), the Prime Minister criticized India’s recent actions and vowed to expose its true intentions on the global stage.
The meeting, led by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, included senior party leaders such as Raja Pervez Ashraf, Naveed Qamar, and provincial leaders from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Balochistan. On the government’s side, key figures including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, federal ministers, and Prime Minister’s special assistants participated in the discussion.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif strongly condemned India’s response to the Pahalgam incident, calling it “highly regrettable” and “provocative.” He stressed that Pakistan had expressed serious concerns over the incident and had urged an impartial and independent investigation. The Prime Minister categorically rejected India’s allegations attempting to link Pakistan to the attack, stating that such claims were baseless and misleading.
The Pakistani leadership reiterated its stance on maintaining diplomatic efforts for regional stability while ensuring the country’s sovereignty and security remain uncompromised.
