Modi Criticizes Hemant Soren Government for Alleged Corruption and Promises Action
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a fierce critique of the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government on Sunday, accusing it of large-scale corruption and pledging that the BJP would take strict action against the “corrupt” if it wins the upcoming state elections. Addressing a rally in Bokaro, Modi claimed that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress coalition government has “looted” the people of Jharkhand, especially through an illegal mining scam involving “mountains of cash” seized in the state.
Modi Accuses JMM of Earning “Crores” Through Sand Mining
“JMM leaders are earning crores of rupees through illegal sand mining, and piles of cash have been found. Where is this money coming from? This is your money—looted from you,” Modi said, directly accusing the ruling party of corruption. Modi assured that a BJP-led government would ensure accountability and use Jharkhand’s resources for the people’s welfare and future development.
Highlights Increased Funding to Jharkhand Under BJP Government
Taking aim at the previous Congress-led government, Modi said, “From 2004 to 2014, Congress struggled to allocate even Rs 80,000 crore to Jharkhand, but after 2014, we have provided over Rs 3 lakh crore.” Modi emphasized BJP’s commitment to Jharkhand’s development, stating, “We created Jharkhand, and we will develop it. Those who opposed its creation will never work for its progress.”
Vows to Combat Recruitment and NEET Paper Leak Mafias in Jharkhand
Addressing further issues in the state, Modi promised to crack down on “paper leak and recruitment mafias” that he alleges were created by the JMM-Congress alliance and have damaged the future prospects of Jharkhand’s youth. “We will find each one of them and put them in jail. I will destroy their plans,” he declared.
Jharkhand Assembly Elections Begin Next Week
As Jharkhand heads to assembly elections on November 13 and 20, with results set for November 23, Modi’s message at the Bokaro rally emphasized BJP’s promise to tackle corruption and enhance development in the state.
