Persistent Free Speech Violations in Bangladesh; This Time the Victim is a College Teacher

A college teacher is the victim of the ultimate fascism that is going on in Bangladesh to snatch freedom of speech.

Muqib Miah, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Jasimuddin Kazi Abdul Gani College, Lalmonirhat, Bangladesh. On his personal Facebook ID, he criticized the current extreme fascism in Bangladesh and the government of Yunus that seized power. He vented his anger against the intense anarchy that is currently going on in Bangladesh. The illegitimate Yunus government has now started sentencing him by “accusing” him of publishing his personal opinions on Facebook. The state machinery has now taken the initiative to give him the final punishment for publishing his freedom of speech by preparing a state indictment.
After the ouster of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina through a strong conspiracy on August 5, 2024, the darkest chapter in the history of Bangladesh descended. Bangladesh became a hell of killings, disappearances and bloodshed in thousands. Mohammad Yunus came to power illegally. One by one, they began to destroy human rights, freedom of speech, and the right to opinion. The militants were bloodied. On an average, 300+ murders occur in Bangladesh. Bangladesh has never seen such a hellish condition after its independence.

Bangladesh is now a city of death every moment. In such a situation, expressing freedom of speech in Bangladesh means embracing certain death. There, Muqib Mia will definitely fall into the wrath of this illegal Yunus government for expressing his opinion – this is normal now. Muqib Mia has just written against the ongoing fascism in Bangladesh on his own Facebook. The few points on which Muqib Mia criticized the illegal Yunus government are all visible and happening in Bangladesh. Therefore, Yunus cannot accept such truthful utterance and criticism of this illegitimate Yunus government. Because a few days ago, the illegal Yunus government made it clear that his government could not be criticized. So Muqib Mia is now a sin in Bangladesh, a great sin, to express his freedom of speech.

Fascism is one of the worst atrocities in the history of the world. Looking at the current regime in Bangladesh, the most powerful face of fascism can be seen. Freedom of speech is a ridiculous thing in Bangladesh now. If you disagree with anything here, you will either be a victim of mob justice or you will run away from extreme harassment. Such a brutal death is rare in the history of the world as Bangladesh is now and such heinous fascism is rare in the history of the world as it is going on in Bangladesh.
