Fans of Peaky Blinders have something to look forward to, as creator Steven Knight confirmed that the Peaky Blinders world will continue with an exciting new movie. The upcoming Netflix film, titled The Immortal Man, will pick up after the events of the show’s season six finale, focusing on the Shelby family during World War II.
In an interview on BBC Breakfast this morning, Knight shared that the film looks “fantastic” and will provide a “very fitting way to end this part of the Peaky story.” However, when pressed by hosts Jon Kay and Sarah Campbell about what he meant by “this part,” Knight teased that the saga isn’t over just yet.
“It’s not over, let’s just put it like that,” Knight said, hinting at future developments. “I’m not allowed to announce it… but I’m just saying that the world of Peaky will continue.”
Though Knight didn’t confirm whether he was referring to a new Peaky Blinders movie or a spin-off series, his words are sure to excite fans who have followed the Shelby family since the show’s debut in 2013.
In December, fans were given a glimpse behind the scenes of The Immortal Man when filming officially wrapped. A photo revealed Cillian Murphy reprising his iconic role as Tommy Shelby, alongside newcomer Barry Keoghan, with both actors sharing a moment of camaraderie on set.
Keoghan will join the film’s growing cast, which also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, and Jay Lycurgo, though the specifics of their roles remain under wraps. Returning cast members will include Stephen Graham as Hayden Stagg, Sophie Rundle as Ada Thorne, Ned Dennehy as Charlie Strong, Packy Lee as Johnny Dogs, and Ian Peck as Curly.
Keoghan has already teased that fans are in for an “epic” experience, saying in a November interview, “I read the script, and it’s epic. It’s so f**king epic.”
With The Immortal Man on the horizon, it’s clear that the Peaky Blinders legacy is far from finished, and the excitement for what comes next continues to build.
