The official title of the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie has been confirmed. Titled The Immortal Man, the film will continue the story a few years after the season six finale, following the Shelby family during World War II.
The title was confirmed by Nadia Stacey, a hair and makeup artist on the project, who shared an illustration featuring Cillian Murphy returning as Tommy Shelby alongside Barry Keoghan in a currently undisclosed role. Stacey captioned the Instagram post: “THE IMMORTAL MAN – Peaky Blinders the movie. One of my favorite jobs ever.”
Keoghan, who was cast in August, has teased that the film’s script is “epic,” and fans are in for a treat. Other new cast members include Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, and Jay Lycurgo. Returning stars include Stephen Graham, Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, and Ian Peck.
Murphy, who is also producing the film, shared that he’s been rewatching the series in preparation. He noted that while it was “heartbreaking” to revisit the show due to the death of Helen McCrory (Polly Gray) in 2021, it has helped him reconnect with the show’s atmosphere and energy as they ramp up for the movie.
No official release date for The Immortal Man has been announced yet.
