Peaky Blinders’ Kate Phillips to Star in New UK Horror Film Black Noise

Kate Phillips, known for her role as Linda Shelby in Peaky Blinders, is set to lead the upcoming UK-based horror film Black Noise. Directed by Simon Blake, the movie is described as a “hallucinogenic horror” and will also feature Peaky Blinders and Game of Thrones star Aidan Gillen.

Phillips plays Leda, a journalist infiltrating a memorial dinner for the wealthy Livingstone family as she seeks justice. Gillen stars as Hector, the eldest Livingstone, while the family’s dark secrets unravel.

The cast also includes Tom Mothersdale (Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light), Rebecca Calder (I May Destroy You), Michael Jibson (Last Night in Soho), and Jeanie Hackman (Brave New World).

Producer Colette Delany-Smith described the film as “haunting and deeply unsettling,” with a visually rich and atmospheric style exploring themes of revenge and the hallucinatory power of plant medicine.

Filming begins this month in the UK, with a release date yet to be announced.
