Paul Mescal, known for his role in Gladiator II, will star in the upcoming Beatles biopic films. It was earlier rumored that Mescal would play Paul McCartney, and now director Ridley Scott has confirmed his involvement.
During a recent conversation with director Christopher Nolan, Scott mentioned that Mescal is busy with the Beatles films, which means their planned future collaboration might not happen right away.
The studio behind the films, Sony Pictures, hasn’t officially announced the full cast yet, but other actors have been linked to the project. Ringo Starr recently said that Barry Keoghan has been learning to play the drums, and he believes Keoghan will play him in the films.
Mescal, when asked about the Beatles project on The Jimmy Fallon Show, said it would be an amazing opportunity but did not confirm whether he would play McCartney.
Another actor, Joseph Quinn, is also rumored to be involved in the Beatles biopic, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
